Meet Addison and check out that gorgeous coat, we’re twins! This weekend, Alex and I had the pleasure of taking care of Addison for the weekend while her family was away. This was also the perfect test of my recent dog obsession and need to have a pet asap. I also bought a new lens recently and she was the perfect model.

We (and by we I mean Addison) found this tennis ball outside while we were playing and the girl was in heaven. You see, it used to actually look like a tennis ball but she loved it so much that she ripped the green covering to shreds. Golden Retrievers are so calm, even when they’re excited about something, they don’t get crazy. She had so much personality and loved the attention of us petting her and taking her for walks, I think she may have gotten a bit spoiled. Maybe it’s time to get her a neighborhood friend :)

The lens I just bought is a 50mm F/1.8 II …it’s amazing! If you’re looking for a new lens but don’t want to break the bank, this is the perfect option. It’s a prime lens, though, so there’s no zooming but great for low light situations and awesome detail!

Having ‘Addi’ as a new subject was a great change from the usual food display, maybe there will be more in the near future :) Until now, you can find me searching the web for breeders and shelters filling my desktop wallpaper and Alex’s email with cute puppy faces!
